Christopher Chikonyora is a Banking and Development Finance specialist with expertise in accounting and finance management and analysis. He has 16 years of work experience in Zimbabwe and South Africa. Christopher has been involved in various development finance projects at ECIAfrica. Among other assignments, he conducted a financial literacy study for the German Savings Bank Foundation, developed a concept paper on establishing an Equity Fund for Tourism micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, and generated the Landscape for Consumer Recourse in South Africa's Financial Services Sector for the Finmark Trust. Before joining the company in 2007, Christopher worked for various organisations in Zimababwe. He was an Internal Auditor for the Zimbabwe Banking Cooperation. Working for the Zimbabwe National Family Planning Council, Christopher managed the organisation's investment portfolio. Christopher also served as a finance and administration senior executive for the Intermarket Holdings Limited, Zimbabwe's second largest short-term re-insurer.

Christopher holds a Bachelor's Degree in accountancy from University of Zimbabwe, and a Diploma in banking with the Institute of Bankers in Zimbabwe. He is currently studying towards Master's Degree in development finance with Stellenbosch University.
